Overview

Listd is a simple to-do application designed to help users keep track of everyday tasks with minimal effort. The app focuses on essential functionality — creating, organizing, and completing tasks without unnecessary features or distractions.

The project was created as a personal initiative, exploring how a stripped-down interface and clear interaction patterns can support daily productivity.

Role

I designed Listd end-to-end, covering UX design, visual design, and interaction patterns. This included defining the core task flows, designing the visual structure, and ensuring the app remained fast, intuitive, and easy to use.

As a self-initiated project, Listd allowed for full ownership of design decisions and a strong focus on usability fundamentals.

Designing simplicity without losing usefulness

Many productivity apps become complex over time, introducing features that add friction instead of value. The main challenge was to design an experience that stayed simple while still supporting common use cases such as shopping lists, reminders, and daily task management.

Another challenge was to ensure that interactions felt immediate and responsive, encouraging frequent, lightweight use.

Focusing on core actions and clarity

The design approach centered on reducing cognitive load and emphasizing the most important actions. Tasks are easy to create, edit, and complete, with clear visual feedback reinforcing progress.

A minimal visual language and restrained use of color help keep the focus on content, while consistent interaction patterns support ease of learning and repeated use.

Small interactions, big impact

Listd resulted in a focused and approachable task-management experience built around everyday needs. The project reinforced the importance of prioritization, restraint, and designing for real-world usage where speed and clarity matter most.

Working on Listd also highlighted how thoughtful UX decisions can elevate even the simplest product ideas.
