Overview

GIW Autopart is a Swedish car care brand offering high-quality automotive products for both enthusiasts and everyday drivers. The project focused on creating a clear, confident digital presence that reflects product quality while making it easy for users to discover, understand, and purchase the right products.

The website was designed to balance brand expression with a straightforward e-commerce experience, supporting both inspiration and conversion.

Role

I was responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of the website — from UX structure and visual design to front-end development. My role included defining the information architecture, designing key e-commerce flows, and translating the design into a responsive, production-ready solution.

Clarifying products in a competitive market

Car care products often involve technical details and require a certain level of trust from the user. A key challenge was presenting the product range in a way that felt accessible and credible, without overwhelming users with unnecessary complexity.

Another challenge was ensuring the brand stood out visually while still supporting clear navigation, product comparison, and smooth purchasing flows.

Designing for clarity, trust, and conversion

The approach focused on creating a clean structure with a strong visual identity. Clear hierarchy, consistent UI patterns, and focused product pages helped guide users from exploration to purchase.

A stronger brand presence and clearer buying experience

The final result was a cohesive e-commerce experience that aligned brand identity with usability. The project reinforced the importance of clarity and restraint when designing for product-driven websites, especially in industries where trust and quality perception are key.

Working across both design and implementation highlighted the value of designing with technical feasibility and performance in mind from the start.
