Stegborgs EL-evator
B2B website for a company specializing in lift control systems and electrical accessories.
Overview
Stegborgs EL-evator is a Swedish company specializing in lift control systems and elevator accessories for professional clients. The goal of the project was to create a clear and trustworthy website that communicates technical expertise while remaining accessible to a non-technical audience.
Role
I was responsible for the UX, visual design, and implementation of the website. The work covered structure, content hierarchy, and visual direction, with a focus on clarity, usability, and a professional tone aligned with the industry.
Translating technical expertise into clarity
The main challenge was presenting a technically complex offering in a way that feels clear and approachable. The website needed to communicate reliability and expertise without overwhelming users with technical details.
Another challenge was structuring the content so different audiences — such as property owners, technicians, and partners could quickly find relevant information.
Designing for clarity and trust in a technical domain
The approach focused on simplifying content and creating clear information hierarchy. Navigation and page structure were redesigned so users could find products faster and understand technical details with less effort.
Particular attention was given to layout, spacing, and typography to ensure the site felt structured, professional, and easy to navigate across devices.
What changed and what it reinforced
The project resulted in a clearer and more structured digital presence that makes Stegborgs’ services easier to understand and navigate. By simplifying the presentation of technical offerings, the website supports quicker comprehension and decision-making.
Working on an industrial B2B project reinforced the importance of clarity, restraint, and trust-driven design — especially when communicating complex systems to diverse audiences.
